I'm trying to understand what adjusting the magnification under the Framing command actually does.  I assumed it was to zoom in to show more detail when imaging, yet the mosaic part which extends the fov then doesn't make sense.  I'm dense!

If I took an image of, say, M51 and not magnify it while taking the images, will I still get a crisp and detailed final image when I crop it?
