I have a smallish window to the sky. My property is lined with trees. So my horizon is 30 degrees or so in all directions. It is worse to the west because at this time of year I set up near the western edge of my property to take advantage of the dark skies eastward. So in reality, my horizon to the west is closer to 75-85 degrees. While the planner will tell me how high an object will be at a given time, I'm struggling to understand how to tell where exactly in the sky the object will be. I'm more familiar with the Celestron SkyPortal in which you can adjust the time to see what the sky will look like at a given time. Does the Seestar planner have that capability? Or maybe I just need to flip back and forth between the apps? How do you all navigate this situation?

How best to estimate position while planning?
