Which would work better as a guide solution?
I'm looking to get into mono imaging and using a slightly larger and longer scope (something like a C6 or even a C8). I know that with a longer scope I can't do tracking the same way as I do with my 72mm refractor. Which would would be better?
1) Get a camera with a guide scope built in - like ZWO ASI585MM-Air or ASI2600MM-duo (or air)
2) Get an off axis guider and use my current ASI290MM guide camera
3) Getan OAG and a new guide camera
4) Something else
let me know your thoughts - I plan on starting to make this just towards the end of July 2026.
My current setup is:
Scope: AT72ED-II w/ .8 FR/FF with EAF; SV165 30mm guide scope f/4.0
Camera: ASI533MC-Pro; ASI290MM guide
Mount: AM3 with ASIAir Plus
Filters: ZWO 5 position filter wheel; ZWo UV/IR-cut, Optolong L-Extreme, Optolong L-Synergy
