I think there is not much of a point of sending a telescope to mars. It is better than Earth I guess because the atmosphere is thinner, but the moon has no atmosphere at all, making the moon a better option, but I feel putting the telescopes out in space is still better.

The next in 2027 is the Nancy Grace Roman, space telescope. It will supposedly have a field 200 times larger than Hubble and larger than Webb. After what Webb has located, we could be seeing some amazing things. Not sure they would gain too much sending something to Mars.

25 years?That´s about the time frame of current NASA heavy projects. Given that the JWST budget metrics were in the billions of dollars, I guess they´d have to speed up to include such a far away (Mars orbit) endeavor on their list.Current space agencies are more likely to set up telescopes on the Moon surface if need be.

It is much easier to build a telescope on the moon than on Mars.

Like orbiters, landers, and rovers ? Cause are a few planned for Mars in the near future. Or something like Hubble or James Webb?
