I knew my school once had an astronomy club before, and I know that the astronomy club doesn't exist anymore now.

So I knew those facts already half a year ago. But last Friday, noon break was extended(just that day) for some unknown reason, so I had extra free time, and I explored school.

Here's what I found out:

My school once tried to built an obsevatory and ran out of money after building the obsevatory, and cannot afford a telescope, this is the first part that is weird, how come they had the money to build an obsevatory but can't afford a telescope?

Because they can't afford a telescope, they turned the obsevatory into something called a 'Stary Sky Classroom' and it was closed before I entered middle school so I don't know what is in it.

At the entrance of the obsevatory, in the staircases, everything changed, the whole part of the staircase has turned into a giant 3D poster large planet models hang on the roof and the wall were filled with huge star maps, astronomy facts, Miesser charts and pictures of famous astronomers like Kepler and Hubble. There were also some other equipments like what they call a 'Celestial scale'.

The whole place was very impressive, like a mini astro museum. I stayed there for a long time and felt very satisfied. The 'Stary Sky Classroom' is closed so I still don't know anything about it although it cloud be more satisfying.

But you can see that the place is old, the equipments were filled with dust and some wall papers on the roof are falling.

Here's the second part that is weird, WHY WOULD THEY CLOSE IT?

And what if I tell you, that I just found two other mini museums like that in my school, one of it is even more satisfying than the 'Astro Staircase', which must costs lots of money. But they all have something in common, all locked and old.

It's like discovering an ancient empire that is once flourishing but has withered away by now, making people quite sad.

Very weird, I don't know WHY.

Mabye nobody is interested in astronomy in my school so it's not necessary to open it.
